Our small private Estates are situated Lairds Wood near Keils Hill in the village of Duror in the Western Highlands of Scotland. The Estate is part of a conservation project run by www.Lochaberhighlandestates.com
At present We own two small estate plots of the Lairds wood B plot & a larger D plot. The B plot is owned by Lady T Mawdesley & the D Plot is owned by Lord J Williams.

Our Friends & Family also own 11other B plots between them in the Lairds wood. Map of Lairds Wood above & the Plots Area.
All plots owned by us & our friends & family have nonexclusive fishing rights to a mile of the River Spean from Inverlair Falls to Tulloch Farm, except Lady T Mawdesley's B plot as it was bought from Lochaber Highland Estates 2008 when they changed the rules as now All newer plots dont get the fishing rights with there deeds. Newer Plot holders have to buy a yearly permit to fish if they wish to fish Spean River.
Plots Bought before 2008 still have the fishing rights on the Spean river with there deeds.
As our estates are part of the Lairds wood project to regenerate the Caledonian Forest we are all helping to keep the land in the area as Forestry land that will never be built on. There are many things that you can do by owning a small wood & helping protect the forests for future generations to enjoy. You can camp in your wood, Put up nest boxes & install seating for visitors to your wood etc. On our small estates owned by us & our Family & friends we hope to do some of our own small projects to help the Fauna & Flora within our woodland plots. On these pages you will be able to see what projects each of us are doing to preserve our private woodlands.
All Plot owners are Helping to Preserve the Caladonian forest and we all recived the Documents Below Explaining about the Main Projects in Lairds Wood by Lochaber Highland Estates.

Above is the Main conservation area run by Lochaber Highland Estates in Lairds Wood.
We also found wile visiting our plots & our friends & Familys plots an example of how a plot holder has utilised there plot for Bee Keeping. This is a good example of how a plot can be used.
